When lawmakers directed that the photo industry give up silver based processing, it was one of many well intentioned moves. Professional labs recovered silver as a profitable recyclable material. Now, instead of having people who earn their living from making images & monitoring waste from that activity, printer cartridges from home computers across the country get thrown into landfills.

The printers we've chosen emit No VOC*s that require the kind of venting that pollutes everyone's air.

The 3R's of sustainability are becoming more possible through banner materials that are recyclable. Happily, archival materials such as 100 percent cotton rag paper are very environmentally friendly. In the thousands of years of paper-making the earth suffered little consequence. No one is suggesting that we stop making plastics, but they NEVER degrade.
